How to apply

Applications must be submitted online through the official portal. The process involves registering with mobile and email, filling the form, uploading photo + signature + supporting documents in the prescribed format, paying the fee, and downloading the confirmation page. Take the steps below one at a time — many fields are locked after the final submission.

The Application Last Date for this application is 14 Jun 2026. We strongly recommend completing the application at least 2-3 days before the deadline — the official portal usually sees heavy load on the last day, and payment-gateway timeouts in the final hours can cause submissions to fail.

The application fee varies by category and is listed in the Application Fee section below. Payment can be made online using debit card, credit card, net banking, UPI, or any accepted digital wallet. Save the payment receipt — you will need it if the system requires manual verification.

  1. 1 Visit the official website of your regional Railway Recruitment Board.
  2. 2 Click on the CEN 01/2026 ALP online application link.
  3. 3 Register using a valid mobile number and e-mail address.
  4. 4 Fill in personal, educational, and contact details accurately.
  5. 5 Upload your photograph and signature in the specified format.
  6. 6 Pay the applicable application fee through the online payment gateway.
  7. 7 Submit the form and save or print the confirmation page for records.

The selection process is conducted in 6 stages: CBT-1 (Computer-Based Test – Screening Stage), CBT-2 (Computer-Based Test – Main Scoring Stage, Part A + Part B), CBAT (Computer-Based Aptitude Test – Mandatory, T-Score ≥ 42 in each battery), Document Verification (DV), Medical Examination (A-1 Medical Standard) and Training (Stipend-based, before final appointment). Candidates must clear each stage to be eligible for the next, and the final merit list is prepared on the combined performance across all stages. Detailed marking schemes, qualifying cut-offs, and any tie-breaker rules are listed in the official notification linked above.
